This has happened to us, too, hasn't it? We're obviously more stupid, gullible, and easily led than we were a generation ago. A diet low in lipid-rich fish causes stupidity in seabirds.

The word gullible, of course, comes from a species of seabird, the Seagull. We become more gull-like as we eat less and less Omega 3 and fish lipids. Witness the furore over Princess Diana and other major public demonstrations of gull-like behaviour, as people flap their arms about and caw plaintively over events which wouldn't have warranted our attention 25 years ago.

The answer is to eat more sardines and pilchards on toast (mmm!), and to have anchovies on every pizza. Vegetarians will eventually die out, because they will forget how to breed.
