The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl on Official CD Format Petition

To my dismay, I discover that the Beatles at the Hollywood bowl has never been available on CD. I foolishly sold my vinyl copy at a car boot sale some time ago, so I can't even do a transfer. Domage!

Here is a petition
 for us all to sign! Doesn't work in Safari, but does in Mac Firefox.

  • Darnation! Mind, for years the Beatles at the Beeb stuff was most well known for an american vinyl bootleg called Yellow Matter Custard if I recall... for the version of "To Know Her is to Love Her" (far superior to the version they did on the Decca auditions) it was worth everything. I had heard of this mystical object (YMC) through word of mouth and then in the wake of Lennon's death the Beeb did a show based on the tapes and though my tape was broke, stuck together, re-taped to other tapes and such for the intervening years until the 2 CD release it was still one of my most played items.

    All that nonsense from a call for the Hollywood Bowl to be reissued!

  • not a lot of people know that my bloody valentine sampled some crowd screams from hollywood bowl and used the sample as a loop behind one of the songs on the ecstacy album. clare was the song, i think - not a cover of the gilbert o'sullivan tune.

    (if you really need to hear it, my friend dan has a vinyl version and i could copy it for you. only it's probably very scratched.)
