Dangerous Ideas

Via several blogs, in my case Liquid Logic, The World Question Center's question for 2006 is "What is your dangerous idea?"

Mine is that world security would be vastly improved, and huge amounts of money saved, by the complete abolition of passports and visas, and the recognition that passport and visa checks are a complete fiction in terms of fighting terrorism and crime.
