Tax Freedom Day

As a follow up to the post directly below, here's a chart of the Tax Freedom Day since 1965. It's a month later now than it was in 1965, but I believe a medieval peasant's TFD was much earlier, around February 19th.

Makes me sort of icky and uncomfortable to be viewing all these web sites from rabidly right wing tax haters. Let me reiterate: I believe in taxation, but I do think this weasel government is guilty as charged over so-called "stealth" taxes, which both insult the averagely intelligent and prey on the dumb.
