IntelliBOLLOCKS
Have you noticed the new trend for in-text ads? You know, you're reading an article, and several words are double-underlined and if you hover your mouse over them, an ad pops up?
This is so-called IntelliTXT, except it's bollocks, isn't it?
For example, take this story from Harmony Central about a new range of Washburn bass guitars. There's an IntelliTXT ad on the word "sounds" which has nothing to do with the subject of the story, (takes you to a load of prices for Audigy Soundblaster cards, which no serious musician, even one that uses a computer, should touch with a bargepole).
In other examples, the ads appear on words in the context of the story and take you to ads for Intel processors or Dell computers, and I just can't imagine anyone seriously following one of those links and buying something, given the context of the news story.
